What Is DME?

• DME stands for "Durable Medical Equipment" which can be used over and over again.
• DME includes equipment to help you move around: canes, crutches, walkers and wheelchairs.
• DME also has equipment needed to care for you at home: hospital beds, bedside commodes and machines that help make breathing easier.

How Can I Get DME?

• Referral for DME is needed.  This can be made by anyone.  (Patient, Family, Friend, Caregiver)
• Physicians prescription is required.  We can help you obtain authorization.
• Most standard equipment can be delivered immediately to your home or hospital room.  However specialty equipment may have to be ordered.
